Jake’s Dilemma
Jake died yesterday at the age of thirty
three
By a bullet that hit him tense
Seeing him getting buried by the tree
It just didn’t make any sense
Now Jake used to live next door
And we all knew his tricks
His charm we used to adore
His gust would make us sick
All in all, Jake was fine
As fine as fine could be
A wife and two kids he left behind
With a mortgage and some grief
In the morning we saw them leave
Towards an unknown fate
And in the moments we could feel
Helplessness and Hate
Still I’m stuck in the same old jam
When I look back and see
Who was supposed to give a damn
The God, The
Government or Me
